Meme time!

Well, I found this meme on Pretty, Fizzy Paradise, and the meme tagged ANYONE...so...I would like to try it out...yeah.

WhatamIdoingI'msupposedtobedoingA-MathsARRRGGHH

First, select your ten fictional characters (from any medium) by whichever method you like best. Then answer the questions below.

1. Daichi Shijima (Devil Survivor 2)
2. Atsuro Kihara (Devil Survivor)
3. Yosuke Hanamura (Persona 4)
4. Akihiko Sanada (Persona 3)
5. Zidane Tribal (Final Fantasy 9)
6. Kano Shuuya (KagePro)
7. Sig (Puyo Puyo)
8. Guy (Draglade)
9. Koichi Kimura (Digimon Frontier)
10. Bartz Klauser (Final Fantasy 5)

1. Divide the list up by even and odd. Which group of five would make a better Five Man Band (like a Power Rangers team)? Who would you slot in each position: Leader, Lancer (second-in-command), Big Guy, Smart Guy, The Chick? If you think the team would be improved by swapping one character between the even and odd groups, which ones would you switch?

Odd Team: Daichi Shijima, Yosuke Hanamura, Zidane Tribal, Sig, Koichi Kimura

Hmm...this is hard, considering every character I chose is male...let's see here. I have to say, Brosuke would be the smart guy in this one, him being the second-in-command of the IT and all. Daichi is the big guy, he hits pretty hard with Multi-Strike, you know. Zidane could be the leader, Koichi the lancer, and...Sig the chick? Well, he's the gentlest one among them all, not to mention the one who's pretty much stoic...

Even Team: Atsuro Kihara, Akihiko Sanada, Kano Shuuya, Guy, Bartz Klauser

HARDER. FAR HARDER. Umm...Atsubro is the smart guy, I guess. He's the reason behind the survival of the main team in DeSu. Akihiko is the leader, Guy is the big guy. Kano is probably the lancer...and that leaves Bartz as the chick? Oh man. Putting an all-boys character choice is a worse idea than I thought!

You know what we could do? Swap Hana-chan and Kano. Yeah.

2. Gender-swap 2, 8 & 10. Which character would have the most change in their story arc? Which the least? Would any of these characters have to have a complete personality change to be believable as the opposite sex?

Gender-bended Atsubro? Umm...maybe not so much as a HUGE change...Atsuro is usually the one doing all the programming stuff, and Atsuro IS a smart one...so...maybe not...

Gender-bended Guy is a hard one. He'd have a large change in his story arc, maybe have more drama with Shelly. A complete personality change would not be totally necessary, I think...

Gender-bended Bartz? PFFT. He's a mime. He'll manage well. Trust me on this.

3. Compare the matchups of 1 & 8 and 5 & 9. (Ignore canon sexual preferences for the moment.) Which couple would be more compatible? Which couple would be more plausible to people from either principal's home culture?

Shijima and Guy?! (laughs like a madman) No. Just no. One is a cowardly lion, the other charges headfirst into danger. Besides, they came from two TOTALLY DIFFERENT UNIVERSES.

Zidane and Koichi seems a bit more...doable... Koichi's this gentle person, and Zidane is also more on the friendlier side, but them being in two totally different universes don't help matters a lot...

4. Your team is 3, 4 & 9. The mission consists of a social challenge, a mental challenge and a physical challenge. Which team member do you assign to each challenge?

Hana, Aki, and Kou. A mental, social, and physical challenge. This is easy... Yosuke goes to social, Akihiko goes to physical, and Koichi goes to mental. Hana's a social person, Aki's an insanely strong Persona user, and Kou is a heavy thinker.

5. 7 becomes 1's boss for a week in some plausible fashion. How's their working relationship?

Sig's the 'I don't care what you do' kind of person...so...Shijima is free!

6. 2 finds him/her/itself inserted into 6's continuity. As far as anyone other than 2 or 6 is concerned, they've always been there. What role would 2 be presumed to have had in 6's story, and could they fit in without going wonky?

Atsubro in KagePro? Arrgghh. This is going to be hard and wacky. Atsuro would be a part of the Mekakushi Dan, and his eye ability is to immediately identify and be able to hack into networks easily, I guess?

7. 3 and 5 get three wishes. The catch is that they have to agree on all three wishes before they get the benefits of any of them. What three wishes would they make?

Brosuke and Zidane. They'd wish for better dual blades, greater strength to fix their slightly 'fragile speedster' status, and more MP-restoring items?

Either way...they're my favorite characters...the fragile speedsters...

8. 1 and 2 are brainwashed by a one-time artifact that works even on people immune to mind control to attack and kill 4. They keep their normal personality, skills and competence level, except any Code vs. Killing has been turned off. Can 4 survive? How?

Shijima and Kihara attacking Sanada? PFFFTTT- Akihiko wins, with a whole load of debuffs, Ziodynes, and good ol' punching. Oh, and the occasional Diarahan.

9. 6, 7, 9 & 10 must help an orphanage full of small and depressed children have a merry Christmas. Who does what, knowing that at the very least the kids will be expecting a visit from Santa?

Kano, Sig, Kimura, and Klauser. Bartz is tasked with being Santa, since he's, you know, A MIME. Sig is in charge of helping out by giving out gifts, Kano and Koichi entertains the kids, I guess.

10. 3 and 8 are challenged to circumnavigate the Earth in eighty days or less, using only forms of transportation invented before 1900. Can they do it, or will they be fatally distracted by sidequests or their own personality conflicts?

Hana-chan and Guy...nah, they'll fail, mainly due to their personality conflicts...just saying.

Tagging: You wanna do it? Go on. I don't really care about tagging.

Welcoming the Year of Persona with a Top Three Hardest MegaTen Bosses in Handheld Titles list!

Oh wow. It's been a VERY long time since I last posted something here. BUT! I have some perfectly good reasons!

First is homework. Oh man, homework. ESPECIALLY A-Maths. It's pretty confusing...but I'll manage. Then, there's exams to worry about. And the last...it's stupid to say, but I've been too busy trying to clear my file of Devil Survivor 2. I'm stuck on the fight between Makoto and Ronaldo after the Mizar fight, and I saved everyone so far... I CRIED when Io seemed to die. She's one of my favorite DeSu 2 characters. My other favorites are Daichi and Jungo... So I'll be taking Daichi's route, thank you very much!

The past few days were pretty amazing here. For one, there was LITTLE TO NO RAIN. I know, weird, considering it's the rainy season in Indonesia right now. Then, my family goes to BEC a lot, and I got some new DS and PSP games, namely, Ouendan 1, Ouendan 2, and Puyo Puyo 7 for the DS, and also Disgaea 1 and Disgaea 2 for the PSP. I managed to get Carol, and am on my way to get Little Witch (fighting a level 50 Mizunotomi right now, UPDATE, beat it and got Little Witch) in Ayakashi Ghost Guild, though I'm like what, level 44? One thing's for sure, though... I won't be able to get Tendo Hidari-uma, Unicorn (Xmas), Miss Santa, or Terrence, aka Pipe Fox (Focused). Even though I absolutely ADORE the Pipe Fox (mainly because of his design, though...I started with him, kept him until now, he's level 21). I got Izanami in Guardian Cross. IZANAMI! Now, is there Izanagi, Susano-O, Amaterasu, or the like in that game? I found my Pokemon Ruby and restarted it with a Torchic. I found the manga for KagePro and instantly shipped Kano and Kido. I laughed at some trollfics too.

Oh, and it's 2014, the Year of Persona! There's going to be a new Puyo Puyo game, Puyo Puyo Tetris, this year too! And, here's hoping that Super Smash Bros Wii U will be done soon, and that Ness and Lucas will be returning! They need more love.

With this being the Year of Persona, I find it appropriate to start off this year with my first list: The Top Three Hardest Bosses in Handheld MegaTen Games. I know, weird that I'll just put 3... I'd just have a hard time cutting bosses down if it's more than 5, and 4 is just a weird number for a list... ALL MEGATEN BOSSES ARE HARD.

First, some rules.

1. One boss per game. If not, every single boss will be a Septentrion.

2. Only bosses that I've encountered, but not exactly beaten. Bosses that I have NOT encountered will NOT be put in. So, I won't be putting in Benetnastch, if he is THAT hard.

3. Bosses come from games that I have played. I think this is self-explanatory.

4. Optional boss fights, bonus bosses, and hopeless boss fights will NOT be included. So, if I don't put in Elizabeth, Demiurge, Lucifer, Bifrons, Botis, and the like, please understand.

5. All judgments are based on my first, BLIND playthrough of the game. If I found Beldr hard in the first playthrough, but not the next, he might be in it.

With that in mind, let's start!

3. Jotun of Grief (Persona 3 Portable)

Okay, first of all, I'd like to point out that the ONLY REASON I beat this guy was because I checked Megami Tensei Wiki for the ONLY type of attack he WON'T drain. THAT'S RIGHT. The Jotun of Grief drains ALL types of damage (barring Almighty, but who resists, let alone drains, it anyways?), except for Hama, Mudo (both null), and Pierce. THAT'S RIGHT. PIERCE. AND IT ISN'T EVEN A WEAKNESS. If that alone hasn't made me rage enough to climb back down Tartarus, change my (totally awesome) team of MC, Akihiko, Aigis, and Junpei into MC, Yukari, Ken, and Aigis, the fact that he still has the nerve to cast ALL the Ma-nda spells, that lower your stats, did. In a game like this, lowering stats can make your life easier, or harder, if it's your stats that are being lowered. He also knows MEGIDOLAON, the strongest hit-all ALMIGHTY spell (can't be blocked), and Primal Force (strongest Pierce attack in the game). He uses the Stagnant Air + Infuriate combo to make sure that ANY of your non-Pierce party members HEAL HIM. He also has Mind Charge (doubles magic damage the next turn), but mentioning that right now is just...ARGH.

2. Megrez (Devil Survivor 2)

This...this SEPTENTRION... He's the source of ALL MY RAGE in the fourth day of DeSu 2. Ronaldo has NOTHING on this guy. Megrez has a relatively large attack range, and the arena is relatively hard to move in, like what you’d expect from a harbor, unless you’re moving with an Avian or a Genma. Dispelling miasma is pretty much a must in this fight, or the fight will just get harder. Some of the miasma being on boats that are only accessible by Genma of Avian does NOT help matters. Megrez will not move unless attacked, but when it is attacked, it starts RECOVERING HP every single turn. It resists Physical skills and NULLS Fire, Mystic, and Electricity skills. After it is attacked, it MAY move or RELEASE MEGREZ BUDS. Remember the bottom half of Dubhe, encountered earlier that day? Yeah, this Septentrion can summon them after being attacked. The buds will behave like they did in Miyashita Park earlier that day, dealing Phys damage to each ally team, and being able to attack from a distance. Probably the only saving grace for this fight is that Megrez is weak to Ice. I used Team Nagoya: Airi and MC for attacking Megrez, Jungo for beating the crap out of the buds, Fumi for dispelling miasma. I lost Baphomet and Tlaloc to him. GAAAAHH. Oh, and the battle is on a time limit. Have fun!
1. Commander Gore (Strange Journey)
Probably shouldn't have gone with the Chaos route for my first playthrough. But, if I didn't, I have to fight Mem Aleph... Oh well, what's done is done. Commander Gore hits like a cement truck powered by rocket boosters. I'm not kidding. He has INSANE attack power, knows Fleeting Rain (strong, random-hitting Gun damage on all foes), knows the DEADLY Charge + Adaptation combo that will most probably kill if you're not guarding and not equipping armor with good Defense and resists Physical, using it ONLY ON THE MC. If MC dies, it's an automatic Game Over. He can also increase his attack power. Knocked his entire 15000 HP? He heals himself for 7500 HP. He reflects Gun and Physical skills, and nulls Hama and Mudo, like all bosses. Only saving grace? He's weak to Garu skills. Equip the gun Frost Ace gave to you, and you're set to Co-Op attack him to death. If you haven't been investing in Alice...have a nice battle. Looking forward to working together with him in the second playthrough on Neutral, and also beating the crap out of him in the third playthrough onwards with Susano-O. He's my favorite demon in Strange Journey. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't have beaten Pillar Zelenin. Also, if it weren't for him, I wouldn't be introduced to Yosuke Hanamura, and, subsequently, Persona 4.
There we have it. The top three hardest bosses in MegaTen games, at least, the handheld ones. If anyone is harder, please let me know.
Honorable mentions:
-Beldr (DeSu)
-Jezebel (DeSu)
-Sleeping Table (Persona 3)
-Mizar (DeSu 2)
-Ronaldo (DeSu 2)

Shadow: A Persona 4 Oneshot

A/N: This story was done for an English descriptive writing in class. There were three topics, and the topic I chose was ‘describe a person that is trustworthy/sinister’. Even though we were only asked to pick one of the characteristics, if possible, we could talk about a person who seems trustworthy, but is actually sinister. Our teacher also told us that we could describe a character from a story…and this just seems to scream Shadow Yosuke and Yosuke, so this is it.
This story is told in Yu Narukami's POV.
As usual, I own nothing. Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4 belongs to the AWESOME Atlus.
Summary: Yu ponders about Shadows, and it brought him back to his thoughts regarding his partner's Shadow.
Characters: Yu Narukami/Souji Seta, Yosuke Hanamura
Rating: K+. I had to tone down the language and edit some of the speech timings and length to fit it in the 'barely over three pages' limit our teacher set...and is 'hellhole' a curse word? I was using it to describe a horribly unpleasant place, so I don't think it warrants for a T rating...
What do you think would the personification of the deepest, darkest corners of your heart look like? Would it look like a demon, or would it look like something else entirely? Would it look like…would it look like your own self?
It truly shocked me when I saw another figure stepping out from one of the dark corners of this strange world’s rendition of the liquor store of Saki Konishi’s family. It was just earlier that Saki-senpai’s death –no, murder- was announced, and as it was, Yosuke was devastated by the death of his crush and dragged me back into this world, which Yosuke, Chie, and I suspected had something to do with the murder of Saki-senpai.
Yosuke had run into this world’s rendition of her family’s liquor store and heard some…confessions of Saki-senpai, saying that she hated Yosuke and thought he was annoying. Yosuke denied it all, and then here we are, looking at the figure stepping out of the corner.
At first sight, this person seemed to look a lot like the fawn-haired, hazel-eyed teen beside me. He was wearing exactly the same clothing as Yosuke: the standard school uniform consisting of a long-sleeved, button-up shirt with a popped collar and a white shirt under it, long, black pants, and red headphones with a black band hanging around his neck, his own personal touch. The only difference was that the other Yosuke was not wearing the thick, orange-framed glasses a creature, specifically, a Shadow calling himself Teddie, gave him before we entered this…hellhole.
Maybe, just maybe…I can trust this person. Not all Shadows are the same, as Teddie is living proof of it. Maybe, this Shadow isn’t out to kill us, just like the Shadows did to Mayumi Amano and Saki-senpai, from what I assume…if he really was a Shadow.
Even so, the other Yosuke gave out an aura unlike Yosuke’s. While Yosuke had a kind, trusting, and joyful aura, the other Yosuke had a sinister, dark, and distrusting aura. It even showed in their mannerisms. I had always been a master of observing people, and I noticed that Yosuke usually had a smile that seems accepting of everything, and makes you feel like you could actually…trust him. The other Yosuke, however, had a dark, sinister smirk plastered on his face, and it could give everyone chills just looking at it, like he has some ulterior motive behind everything…
Perhaps, what was most chilling about the other Yosuke was his yellow eyes…the eyes that seemed to gleam in this dark, eerie room…and the dark, visible aura, spreading around the room…it’s quite sickening, actually.
“The only reason why you wanted to enter this world is so that you felt bored living in the town! You wanted to feel excited, wanted to feel known, so you took the first opportunity to try and prove yourself, and that opportunity happened to be the murder of Saki-senpai!” the other Yosuke cackled, his voice distorted.
Yosuke’s eyes went wide as he denied everything that the other had said. The other only continued with his speech, his eyes growing madder with each word, the dark energies surrounding him seeming to spread and grow in size.
“You put on a show of being carefree and happy-go-lucky ‘cause you’re so terrified of being alone. The more the merrier, right? You can’t handle the solitude of being alone!” The other Yosuke continued. That seemed to be the last straw for Yosuke. He then shouted in a loud, defiant voice, “Shut up! That’s not me. That’s not me AT ALL!”
…Wait. Yosuke was…faking it? He only puts on his jovial persona so he will not be alone? He’s…scared of being alone?
As I was pondering this, the other Yosuke had transformed into another creature…one that was a Shadow. It had two halves, namely, the human half and the frog-like half. The human half was all black, save for what seemed like two yellow stars for its eyes. Its hands were yellow, and it had a billowing, red scarf around his neck. Its bottom half, the frog-like half, had a camouflage pattern around its body, save for the hands and face. Its hands were black in color with yellow ‘nails’ on it, and its face was black, with two red slits for eyes, and a yellow, savage, grinning mouth, full of teeth.
“I am the Shadow, the true self. I’ll get rid of everything that bores me…starting with YOU!!!” The Shadow screamed out as it charged at us.
My suspicions were confirmed. It seemed like the other Yosuke was really a Shadow…and it seems like I am forced to fight it, if I were to protect the real Yosuke, the one with the kind, trustworthy attitude. And so, I called out my own Persona, the one I had used to protect Chie and Yosuke the other day…Izanagi.
The battle between Izanagi and Shadow Yosuke raged on as I tried to get Yosuke to accept his Shadow…since apparently, a person’s Shadow is the personification of someone’s deepest, darkest corners of his heart, according to Teddie. As Izanagi landed the finishing blow on Shadow Yosuke, the real Yosuke seemed to have a resolution as he approached his fallen Shadow, who had reverted back to its human form.
“I’ve always known that Saki-senpai hated me. But, I never had the courage to accept it. And it’s true…I did feel bored in this town.” He sighed. “Sometimes, even I feel like I put my foot in my mouth a lot. But that’s just who I am, huh? I guess I just have to accept it.” Shadow Yosuke looked up at Yosuke as he kneeled down beside him, lifting the Shadow’s face to look straight at Yosuke.
“I am you…and you are me.” Yosuke had said that time, smiling at his Shadow. Shadow Yosuke looked slightly shocked, before he gave a small smile as he closed his eyes in acknowledgement. This time, the smile was neither malicious nor sinister; in fact, the smile now was a calm and accepting one. Bright, white lights surround Shadow Yosuke as he began to transform.
When the lights have faded, a Persona stood in Shadow Yosuke’s place. It had a black head with two ‘ears’ above its head, with one red slit in each ‘ear’. It had two yellow stars for its eyes. It wore white overalls with a camouflage pattern on the edges of the pants and sleeves. The overalls had a yellow, v-shaped collar, and was red on the top of the overalls. Its hands were much like a human’s, though it was covered with white gloves, having a camouflage pattern under it. It also wore a red, billowing scarf around its neck.
The Persona turned into a blue card, bearing a picture of a flame, surrounded by a pair of eyes above it, a pair of hands below it, cupping the flame, and the symbol for ‘infinity’ above the eyes. There was also the Roman numeral for the number ‘1’ on the bottom of the card.
I then remembered my own card, bearing the picture of a laughing jester about to fall from a cliff, a dog trailing closely behind him, colored grey, and bearing the number ‘0’ on the bottom of the card. If my card was ‘0’ and Yosuke’s card was ‘1’…then are we dealing with Tarot cards right now? If that is the case, then my Persona must be a ‘Fool’, while Yosuke’s Persona must be a ‘Magician’.
Frankly, I can see the symbolism between the cards, my own self, Yosuke, and Shadow Yosuke. I came to Inaba for a new experience, much like the Fool in Tarot divination. Yosuke comes off as a self-confident person, much like the Magician in Tarot divination. Shadow Yosuke, however, may have power, but he is also cruel and misuses his power. It is the meaning of a reversed Magician card in Tarot divination.
“So this is Jiraiya…my own Persona…my power.” Yosuke had his hand over his heart. He then proposed that we could use our strength to save people before they got killed in this world…which I whole-heartedly agreed to.
He kept that promise, for he was a trustworthy person. We gained more members…people that we have saved in this world of Shadows in time. We became known as the Investigation Team…
And to think this all started because I saved my best friend, my partner, from his own darkness.
A/N: Frankly, I think this is one of my better works, even though it is not very true to the story...

Persona videos being taken down?!

Shinjiro Aragaki died on the 4th of October, during the Dark Hour...and that day also happens to be the bonding camp at school...

Pssh, yeah. Bonding in our own groups, more like. -__-"

So, now... IGCSE Bahasa Indonesia sudah mendekat.

Okay, that sucked and failed.

We need to use proper and formal Bahasa Indonesia in the exam, something I am extremely weak in.

On a side note...

A few weeks ago, I wanted to listen to more songs from Persona 4 and 3. I bookmarked the playlist created by Slayer0, because he uploads songs of good quality, and even has the Voice Mix Arranges. Awesome, really. But, then...friggin' Youtube says that the playlist 'does not exist'. Needless to say, I got pretty pissed off. Imagine what happens when a cranky Chie Satonaka finds out that a certain Yosuke Hanamura entered her in a beauty pageant. Yeah. I was THAT pissed.

So, then, I did some digging around and found out that Slayer0's account was suspended because of copyright claims from this Russian person on Youtube.

I did some more digging around (thank you Google) and found out that this person is a 'sketch comedian and news presenter'. She (said person is a female) claims copyright for a number of Persona soundtracks and gameplay videos. Searching her name online with the word 'Persona' brings up a link to a website called 'Persona Stars'.

What. The. Heck.

How can a RUSSIAN person claim copyright for a FRANCHISE (from JAPAN, no less) that came out BEFORE this 'Persona Stars' website was even on the internet?!

It's not just Persona videos too that got hit by copyright claims, from what I have seen in the NeoGAF forum thread regarding this issue. Catherine, Shin Megami Tensei IV, as well as Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne... Videos about these games are getting copyright claims as well.

My reaction? Youtube needs to get their sh*t straight. Pardon my rough language, but it must be said. Do they even do any research before deciding to suspend a channel for a suspected copyright?!

Because of this one person, a bunch of accounts have been suspended. Slayer0, TheUltimateOneJPS, PhoenonX, and AsukaCrystalRose, among others, have had their accounts suspended. Song covers have also been flagged for copyright, from what I have heard. EVEN the anime opening theme, Sky's the Limit, was flagged, as the video, taken from Youtube, was taken down and was said to be 'not found' in Megami Tensei Wikia. Only ONE song from the anime was safe, from what I have seen, not counting the songs that came from the video game, and it was the second opening, Key Plus Words. Beauty of Destiny and Sky's the Limit were pretty much screwed, especially the full versions of the original.

Besides, think about it. If this lady wants to screw Atlus over, why doesn't she just flag Atlus for copyright?! Yeesh!

Besides...she's messing with the wrong fandom. She just made every Atlus fan, particularly fans of the Shin Megami Tensei franchise, extremely pissed off, me included. I mean, I heard that the Hiimdaisy comic dubs are down! WHAT!

Atlus needs to know about this. This is going too far!

AFA ID 2013!!!

Okay, so my cousin joined the cosplay club in her school, and she brought her sister and I to the Anime Festival Asia, held at the Plenary Hall or something. (Bandung born and raised, so I have little to no idea of how Jakarta is oriented). And HOLY MOLY IT WAS AWESOME.

It's THE anime event of the year here in Indonesia, so the line to get in the exhibition was already crazy long. We managed to get in by 'joki tiket', where we buy a ticket at a higher price from someone who already bought tickets by bulk in the first place.

Once we were inside...WHOA. So many cosplayers I can't even. And the anime merchandise... THAT YUKIKO FIGURINE WAS Rp 900,000,-!!!!! And that smaller Jiraiya, Izanagi, Yukiko, and Yu figurines were Rp 850,000,-! My budget is only Rp 750,000,-.... T_T So sad, I know.

I was identifying characters left and right, and my cousin and I started counting the amount of Hatsune Miku cosplayers. We counted at least 12...

There was a concert, but we bought the exhibition ticket, so we didn't watch it. So, we just took pictures with cosplayers, though I was too shy and only took pictures with 4 cosplayers... I didn't take my camera out, so I didn't take a picture of everything, I only took it out when I wanted to take a picture with a cosplayer. So sad...

The characters I saw were...
Bossun - Sket Dance
Minato Arisato -Persona 3 (NEARLY took a picture with him, but I was too shy...)
Hibiki Kuze -Devil Survivor 2 (There were 3 of them, and one even brought Byakko!)
KAITO -Vocaloid (There were 2 that I saw, I think.)
Gakupo Kamui -Vocaloid
Ragna the Bloodedge -BlazBlue (Only saw T_T)
Hazama -BlazBlue (Wanted to take a picture with him, but Hazama is scary...)
Len Kagamine -Vocaloid (There were 3 that I saw.)
Rin Kagamine -Vocaloid (Only saw 2. I wonder why?)
Miku Hatsune -Vocaloid (Like I said, at least 12 Mikus were there.)
Yuno Gasai -Mirai Nikki
Yosuke Hanamura -Persona 4 (My personal favorite, actually. Because Captain Ressentiment is that awesome.)
Naoto Shirogane -Persona 4 (Awesome cosplay too! I loved the MegaTen cosplays.)
Yata Misaki -K Project (My cousin's friend and I took a picture with his cosplayer, and the cosplayer was AWESOME.)
Killua Zoldyck -Hunter X Hunter (Was with Naoto's cosplayer when I met them.)
Lightning Farron -Final Fantasy 13 (A LOT of people were taking a picture with her. Wow.)
Thanatos -Persona 3 (I was shocked. Mainly because I was playing Persona 3 and was summoning Thanatos when the Thanatos cosplayer showed up.)
Saber -Fate/Stay Night
Teddie -Persona 4 (Wanted to take a picture with him, but we were on separate floors.)
Kuroko Tetsuya -Kuroko no Basket
Aomine Daiki -Kuroko no Basket
Kise Ryouta -Kuroko no Basket
L -Death Note
Slenderman -Slender: The 7 Pages (WTF. I nearly ran from him, but my cousin took a picture with him...)
England -Axis Powers Hetalia
South Korea -Axis Powers Hetalia (HOW DO YOU MAKE THE CURL GODDAMMIT?!)
China -Axis Powers Hetalia
Taiwan -Axis Powers Hetalia
Hong Kong -Axis Powers Hetalia
Xion -Kingdom Hearts

One of the highlights was the Maid and Butler Cafe. It was pretty nice, the food's pretty good, and the butlers all looked good. The 2 hour wait was worth it, apparently. And my cousins took a picture with the butlers. I NEARLY did, but pulled out at the last minute...and after that, we met the Yosuke cosplayer, and it all went downhill because I let my imagination get the better of me... He's my favorite Persona character, for crying out loud! If only he got the kunais... And if only the Minato cosplayer was holding his Evoker and doing that pose when he summons his Persona...

There was the Animax booth with a cosplay or something. I was at Sony Music when my cousin and her friend were there. There were a lot of people wearing the Yasogami High jacket, makes me want one as well! T_T Though everyone wearing those jackets were guys.

It's too bad the characters weren't in-character when I met them... How I knew? Captain Ressentiment wouldn't be so silent if he was in character. Not that I'm complaining. Seeing a Yosuke cosplayer definitely made my month-make that my year.

I bought something for my friend (I promised), as well as cute Naoto and Kanji pin, from the shops in the lower floor. There wasn't any Persona 3 merchandise, and there was no Yu and Yosuke pin... (cries in corner) Well, at least I got Naoto! She's my favorite Persona 4 female character, favorite female Persona character goes to Aigis. I love her so much.

I don't know how nitrogen ice-cream works, but it's pretty good. Yeah...I need an explanation... Time to consult Google...I think...

Oh, and to answer the question about the Persona fanbase... It's quite big here. I'm serious.

And now for something completely random...

"AAAAGGGHH!!! OOOHHHH! NOOOOOO!!!"
"What?! Huh?! What?!"
"Oh, man, I CAN'T HOLD IT ANYMORE!!!"
"GEEZ, THAT WAS IT?! What are you doing, you can't just pee here, in someone's room! Narukami, would you please stop him?!"
"? Why would I do that?"
"Huh?"

-Yosuke expresses his surprise in the most eloquent way possible.
"I HAVE TO PEE!!!!!!!"
(after many 'I have to pee's later...)
"You guys, I HAVE TO PEE. SO BAD. I'M GONNA PEE. RIGHT. NOW!!!!"
(awkward silence)
"OKAY NEVER MIND."

Oh Yosuke, you tickle my funny bone. XD

I'll probably add more details as I remember them and probably upload pictures of my cousins and I, you never know... I was only there on the 7th of September, but I'll try to remember as much as possible.

Well, see you later!

What's happening to my life...

What's going on with my life?! First, we're taking the IGCSEs. Okay, I can live with that. Then, we have Additional Math on top of the usual Math (Extended Math). Fine, Math is one of my favorite subjects after all. Then, our teacher suddenly up and tells us that we're finishing the book for Additional Math, which is supposed to be finished in two years, mind you, in 10 WEEKS. Oh man. Then, on the FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL, we're starting with one of the most confusing topics: Differentiation. Sure...though it's getting crazier... THEN we're taking the Bahasa IGCSEs this year. Urk...

Is this seriously the start of the freaking school year?! Not to mention that we're taking pure Physics and pure Biology...and more...oh man... We're kicking this year off in full gear, and we're not going to stop until after the IGCSEs. Our school days are 7 hours now, 8 on Mondays and Fridays because of the Bahasa IGCSEs. And to think that I'm the only surviving senior member of the Math Club among the people in my class... I think I've got a date with Death later this year, and I'm NOT talking about Ryoji.

Funny thing is, after a while of being battered by homework every single day, you eventually just shrug it off like it's nothing. During the start of the school year, I was panicking since I was scared that I wouldn't finish my homework in time. Now, I'm just like 'Oh, new homework? For tomorrow? Aces, chief. Let's see if I can get my lesson teacher to let me out early. If not, I'll just reduce my relaxing time, or finish a part of the homework at school.' It's just been 3 weeks, but STILL...

And, of course, there's the issues with my hobbies. I've recently watched Persona 4 The Animation and... I'm sorry, I need to rant a little. Spoiler alert!

Dammit, Saki Konishi! Yousuke CLEARLY cared for you and fell in love with you, and you didn't seem to care about him, even having the gall to call him 'annoying'! You should listen to how Yousuke talks about you, Saki. He's talking like you're the best woman in the world! Yeesh! He was DEVASTATED when you were murdered, for crying out loud! He's a really nice guy when you get to know him, though he can be insensitive sometimes... BUT, that's what makes him who he is! (shot, otherwise rant would take too long)...and yes, I remember the Hiimdaisy comic dub more than the actual anime, so sorry for any inconsistencies with the explanation. (blasted by Elizabeth's 9999-damage Megidolaon)

Sigh... I'm sorry, it's just that people who are like Saki get me riled up a little, though even THAT may be an understatement. It's one of the reasons why I like guys such as Yousuke, since when he loves someone, he LOVES that person and stays loyal to that person no matter what. Yousuke is just like Persona 3's Junpei, only, I'm sorry, but this is my opinion, Yousuke is better-looking compared to Junpei. Just saying! It's the headphones! I like guys with headphones, dammit! Also, I can only determine whether a guy is...erm...hot...when I get his personality. The guys who are always loyal to their friends always drew me in for some reason...even though they're usually handed the short end of the stick.

On another note, my cousins invited me to go to an anime convention or something in Jakarta this Saturday! Nice change of pace from the gut-busting work we were given for the past few days. Natch, weeks. Since there's an extreme lack of events like these in Bandung, well, I'm excited. Either that, or I don't know where anime conventions are held here in Bandung. I'm looking for Persona 4 cosplayers and merchandise! See if their cosplays are similar to the characters... I blame searching for pictures of the characters and seeing AMAZING cosplays of them. One Yu Narukami cosplay was...really similar to the dude. And that one Squall Leonhart cosplayer was also amazing... It's also a chance for me to find out if the Persona fanbase here in Indonesia is big...since I'm the only person who is an avid RPG gamer in the whole entire school, mainly because I don't stick with a genre of games, I play a lot of different genres: RPG, Fighting, Rhythm Action, Puzzle, Strategy... But, I tend to stick with RPGs.

That really took a lot out of my heart. This blog is, perhaps, the only place where I'm truly allowed to be myself...

My Song Interpretations: Take Your Way

Ah, Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor 2. A game that is so FRUSTRATINGLY HARD, yet is extremely deep in plot, like most MegaTen games. Basically, all MegaTen games try to show that even the tiniest of choices can alter your fate, or, sometimes, the fate of someone else. Devil Survivor 2 has an anime adaptation: Devil Survivor 2 The Animation. The lyrics of the opening of the anime is so beautiful... Here are the translated lyrics, from http://atashi.wordpress.com/2013/05/04/devil-survivor-2-the-animation-opening-theme-take-your-way/, but I phrased it so it sounds more like a story.

The questions that I have seen in front of my eyes were always vague to me, and I never thought that something would change because of those words.

If the tiny bond between us desires it, you can't lose sight of your dream, even though it's incomplete, and then shout out...

With a tear-choked voice, I hug your shoulders as you cry your eyes out. Though you feel lost and you're suffering, you chose this world. It's something that only you will grasp, and is also something that only you can wish for. The voice calling out will never cease now, until light engulfs the future.

Suddenly, all the time, choices will block our way. Without waiting for an answer, they bring us to a tomorrow we never wanted.

If I can erase just a little bit of your sadness, I won't reflect on the scars on my body, but instead, shout out...

With a tear-choked voice, I hug your shoulders as you stand still. Even if the future is distorted, it's still the future you chose. It's something that only you will grasp, and is also something that only you can wish for. The voice calling out will never cease now, until light is drawn into the world.

Don't try to avoid the pain. Don't keep the answer in your heart. Don't be afraid of losing things, after all, you're never alone. Though it's faint, you can hear the melody we created, right? I'll always, yes, always, keep holding your hand.

Trembling with a hoarse voice, the song that will carry us to tomorrow, will echo into someone's dream.

With a tear-choked voice, I hug your shoulders as you cry your eyes out. Even if you feel lost and you're suffering, you still chose this world. It's something that only you will grasp, and is also something that only you can wish for. The voice calling out will never cease out, until the light engulfs the future.

Now can you guys see why I love this song? The tune itself sounds so upbeat and happy, not to mention catchy, but when I learned about the lyrics, I can't help but tear up a little. It definitely tells us the story of Devil Survivor 2, though only those who have played the game could link it with the game. The song could also represent life itself...

'The questions that I have seen in front of my eyes were always vague to me, and I never thought that something would change because of those words.' Isn't it that what we think is irrelevant right now could become something so much more in the future? Isn't it that just one question could change our view on the world immediately?

'If the tiny bond between us desires it, you can't lose sight of your dream, even though it's incomplete, and then shout out...' We all have a dream. We can't lose sight of it, even though our dream is incomplete.

'With a tear-choked voice, I hug your shoulders as you cry your eyes out. Though you feel lost and you're suffering, you chose this world. It's something that only you will grasp, and is also something that only you can wish for. The voice calling out will never cease now, until light engulfs the future.' The choices we make could affect many. In the Devil Survivor games, the side you choose will affect the world in itself, and also affect the friendships you've made. For example, siding with the demons is Devil Survivor 1 will make Yuzu, Keisuke and Midori leave the party in anger, but Naoya and Kaido will join the party. The world would be thrown into chaos should this path be chosen. Only we can choose the side we want to take. In a way, it's also similar to life, since one tiny choice could affect many things. Only we can wish for the things we choose, and if we made a wrong choice, there will come a chance to correct the mistake.

'Suddenly, all the time, choices will block our way. Without waiting for an answer, they bring us to a tomorrow we never wanted.' Every day, there will be choices, and we will have to choose among them. Sometimes, the choices begin to act on themselves, and it would make us end up in situations that we don't want to be a part of.

'If I can erase just a little bit of your sadness, I won't reflect on the scars on my body, but instead, shout out...' Generally, this shows that helping people could help us divert our attention from our own pain and sadness.

'With a tear-choked voice, I hug your shoulders as you stand still. Even if the future is distorted, it's still the future you chose. It's something that only you will grasp, and is also something that only you can wish for. The voice calling out will never cease now, until light is drawn into the world.' Our future is ours alone, and is something that only we could ask for...no matter what.

'Don't try to avoid the pain. Don't keep the answer in your heart. Don't be afraid of losing things, after all, you're never alone. Though it's faint, you can hear the melody we created, right? I'll always, yes, always, keep holding your hand.' We can't avoid fate, no matter what. Sadness, anger, despair, EVERYTHING will catch up to us at one point, so why bother avoiding it? The answer in your heart could be the answer that solves all our problems, so why bother keeping it in your heart? Also, why should we be afraid of losing things? It doesn't matter who you are; you're not alone. There will always be someone ready to catch us when we fall...

'Trembling with a hoarse voice, the song that will carry us to tomorrow, will echo into someone's dream.' The choices that we make, the things we wish for, the things that lead us to tomorrow, it can affect the life of someone else.

'With a tear-choked voice, I hug your shoulders as you cry your eyes out. Even if you feel lost and you're suffering, you still chose this world. It's something that only you will grasp, and is also something that only you can wish for. The voice calling out will never cease out, until the light engulfs the future.' We're never alone. Someone will always support the choices we make, since only we can make that choice...

This probably isn't that much of a good interpretation, but it's the best I can do with my limited skills. I would love to hear your interpretations of this song, though. Tell me in the comments, please!
