Okay, so my cousin joined the cosplay club in her school, and she brought her sister and I to the Anime Festival Asia, held at the Plenary Hall or something. (Bandung born and raised, so I have little to no idea of how Jakarta is oriented). And HOLY MOLY IT WAS AWESOME.
It's THE anime event of the year here in Indonesia, so the line to get in the exhibition was already crazy long. We managed to get in by 'joki tiket', where we buy a ticket at a higher price from someone who already bought tickets by bulk in the first place.
Once we were inside...WHOA. So many cosplayers I can't even. And the anime merchandise... THAT YUKIKO FIGURINE WAS Rp 900,000,-!!!!! And that smaller Jiraiya, Izanagi, Yukiko, and Yu figurines were Rp 850,000,-! My budget is only Rp 750,000,-.... T_T So sad, I know.
I was identifying characters left and right, and my cousin and I started counting the amount of Hatsune Miku cosplayers. We counted at least 12...
There was a concert, but we bought the exhibition ticket, so we didn't watch it. So, we just took pictures with cosplayers, though I was too shy and only took pictures with 4 cosplayers... I didn't take my camera out, so I didn't take a picture of everything, I only took it out when I wanted to take a picture with a cosplayer. So sad...

Bossun - Sket Dance
Minato Arisato -Persona 3 (NEARLY took a picture with him, but I was too shy...)
Hibiki Kuze -Devil Survivor 2 (There were 3 of them, and one even brought Byakko!)
KAITO -Vocaloid (There were 2 that I saw, I think.)
Gakupo Kamui -Vocaloid
Ragna the Bloodedge -BlazBlue (Only saw T_T)
Hazama -BlazBlue (Wanted to take a picture with him, but Hazama is scary...)
Len Kagamine -Vocaloid (There were 3 that I saw.)
Rin Kagamine -Vocaloid (Only saw 2. I wonder why?)
Miku Hatsune -Vocaloid (Like I said, at least 12 Mikus were there.)
Yuno Gasai -Mirai Nikki
Yosuke Hanamura -Persona 4 (My personal favorite, actually. Because Captain Ressentiment is that awesome.)
Naoto Shirogane -Persona 4 (Awesome cosplay too! I loved the MegaTen cosplays.)
Yata Misaki -K Project (My cousin's friend and I took a picture with his cosplayer, and the cosplayer was AWESOME.)
Killua Zoldyck -Hunter X Hunter (Was with Naoto's cosplayer when I met them.)
Lightning Farron -Final Fantasy 13 (A LOT of people were taking a picture with her. Wow.)
Thanatos -Persona 3 (I was shocked. Mainly because I was playing Persona 3 and was summoning Thanatos when the Thanatos cosplayer showed up.)
Saber -Fate/Stay Night
Teddie -Persona 4 (Wanted to take a picture with him, but we were on separate floors.)
Kuroko Tetsuya -Kuroko no Basket

Slenderman -Slender: The 7 Pages (WTF. I nearly ran from him, but my cousin took a picture with him...)

One of the highlights was the Maid and Butler Cafe. It was pretty nice, the food's pretty good, and the butlers all looked good. The 2 hour wait was worth it, apparently. And my cousins took a picture with the butlers. I NEARLY did, but pulled out at the last minute...and after that, we met the Yosuke cosplayer, and it all went downhill because I let my imagination get the better of me... He's my favorite Persona character, for crying out loud! If only he got the kunais... And if only the Minato cosplayer was holding his Evoker and doing that pose when he summons his Persona...
There was the Animax booth with a cosplay or something. I was at Sony Music when my cousin and her friend were there. There were a lot of people wearing the Yasogami High jacket, makes me want one as well! T_T Though everyone wearing those jackets were guys.
It's too bad the characters weren't in-character when I met them... How I knew? Captain Ressentiment wouldn't be so silent if he was in character. Not that I'm complaining. Seeing a Yosuke cosplayer definitely made my month-make that my year.
I bought something for my friend (I promised), as well as cute Naoto and Kanji pin, from the shops in the lower floor. There wasn't any Persona 3 merchandise, and there was no Yu and Yosuke pin... (cries in corner) Well, at least I got Naoto! She's my favorite Persona 4 female character, favorite female Persona character goes to Aigis. I love her so much.
I don't know how nitrogen ice-cream works, but it's pretty good. Yeah...I need an explanation... Time to consult Google...I think...
Oh, and to answer the question about the Persona fanbase... It's quite big here. I'm serious.

"AAAAGGGHH!!! OOOHHHH! NOOOOOO!!!"
"What?! Huh?! What?!"
"Oh, man, I CAN'T HOLD IT ANYMORE!!!"
"GEEZ, THAT WAS IT?! What are you doing, you can't just pee here, in someone's room! Narukami, would you please stop him?!"
"? Why would I do that?"
"Huh?"
-Yosuke expresses his surprise in the most eloquent way possible.
"I HAVE TO PEE!!!!!!!"
(after many 'I have to pee's later...)
"You guys, I HAVE TO PEE. SO BAD. I'M GONNA PEE. RIGHT. NOW!!!!"
(awkward silence)
"OKAY NEVER MIND."

I'll probably add more details as I remember them and probably upload pictures of my cousins and I, you never know... I was only there on the 7th of September, but I'll try to remember as much as possible.
